Our strategic partner comply fully with the Mortgage Code and are registered as a Mortgage Intermediary with the Mortgage Code Compliance Board.
The Mortgage Code has been introduced by the Council of Mortgage Lenders (the organisation which represents most of the lenders in the UK) to ensure that you, the consumer, are able to understand the basis on which a mortgage is being made to you.
In certain circumstances a broking fee may be requested (to broke some adverse credit mortgages, for instance). Any such costs will be made very clear to you before you make any commitments for a loan. If a fee is received from the lender that you choose to take a mortgage with, this will be fully disclosed.
If you would like keyfacts about any aspect of the Code, click here Keyfacts
If you would like to see the Mortgage Code, click here The Mortgage Code.
There are three different levels of service offered under the Mortgage Code. These are:
- Advice and a recommendation as to which mortgage is the most suitable for you.
- Information on the different types of mortgage products on offer, so you can make an informed choice of which to take.
- Information on a single product only, if only one mortgage product is offered or if you have already made up your mind.
On this site, information only on the different types of product on offer is given, so that you can make an informed choice of which mortgage to take (level b).
If you would like advice and a recommendation (level a), or information on a single product only (level c), please call one of our qualified mortgage advisers.
In providing mortgage information we nor our strategic partner, act for any lender. We act for you.
Before you take out a mortgage you will receive in writing, confirmation of the level of advice given.
The Mortgage Code requires a complaints processing procedure to be in place and this policy is strictly adhered to. You will automatically have access to the Code Compliance Officer that is appointed by any company that is registered with the Mortgage Code Compliance Board (MCCB).
For your added peace of mind, in addition to these strictly adhered to rules, by using this website, you have the added reassurance that we will vigorously pursue any complaint that you may have. If you have a complaint that, in your opinion, is not being properly dealt with, please email us without hesitation.
Finally, if you still feel your concern remains unresolved after going through our partner's internal complaints procedure and our own, then you can still contact the complaints procedure scheme at www.mortgagecode.org.uk.
Please note that our strategic partner is also regulated by the Finance Industry Standards Association (FISA). They fully support and strictly adhere to the FISA Code of Conduct. For more information, visit www.fisa.co.uk.
